Fine Art

Before moving into interior design, I dedicated time towards painting, drawing and sculpture. At GCSE level I was advised to enter into The Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition Online, and was shortlisted for the website. Subsequently my school commissioned me to paint for visiting speakers, such as Mike Whitlam CBE (Former Director of The Red Cross) and Natasha Baker MBE (Double-Gold Paralympic Equestrian Rider).

After leaving school I took my Fine Art Foundation at The Royal Drawing School, with a heavy focus on drawing and painting from observation. This taught me invaluable skills in perspective, form and colour, and the year finished with a trip to the Royal Estate, Dumfries House, Scotland. I gained a Distinction in my Foundation Certificate.

I later studied Fine Art at degree level at Newcastle University, but soon felt I was more inclined to design and the creating of spaces. I continue to enjoy any opportunity to sketch, and find this skill incredibly useful in concept development, collaborative work, and visuals.
