Wax Lyrical

DAY AND NIGHTCLUB

Wax Lyrical was designed in response the the current shrinking UK nightclub climate, and growing concern with the  associated nightlife cultures. Creating a venue which is open throughout the day and night,  addressing issues relating to recreational drug use, excessive alcohol consumption and unsafe/ unprotected sex.

A club which accepts these behaviours occur,  therefore designing to improve the safety and comfort without feeling policed . Helping to protect clubbers and the industry, which now more than ever is under threat.

The design was influenced by the 1970's, 'decade of disco', aiming to bring back experimental FF&E inspired by the Domus archive catalogues.
